My wife and I recently retired from the Canadian Forces, and with our daughters no longer at home, we decided to start making plans to purchase our retirement home. Although we were familiar with the selling process, having been posted several times across Canada, this was going to be the first time that we did not have to sell. Because we were not on a deadline we wanted to be sure that not only were we doing the right thing, but that we listed in such a way that we could moving on to the next phase of our life with peace of mind. When we saw that the price Leslie had in mind for us to sell at was almost identical to that which we wanted to sell at, we knew that we were on the right path. We put the for sale sign on the lawn that same night, and 6 days later the house was sold. A big part of the sale was listing it at the right price, but just as important was getting the listing out there quickly.
